Pastor, Winifred Griffin

Pastor, Winifred Griffin comes to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church as a bi-vocational pastor. She has served as the local Pastor of the Hereford Charge since 2015 which includes two merged churches that worship together, Pine Grove in Whitehall Maryland and Gough in Cuba, Maryland. Originally from Butler, Maryland, she currently lives on Bond Avenue. She is the proud parent of one son Stephen who lives in Boston Massachusetts.

In 2023 she became a licensed Pastor. She is attending Wesley Theological Seminary enrolled in the Course of Study Program.

She ministers by meeting people where they are, guided by her faith and in a belief that if you have faith anything is possible. She also believes that in order to learn and to grow you have to be willing to listen.

Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 which states “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy paths”.

Rev. Griffin balances her pastoral duties with her career work as a paralegal and an administrator for a small attorney firm located in Columbia Maryland. She is honored to have an appointment to St. Luke’s and embraces her ministry with expectancy for God's blessings.
